Differentiation Defined

  • Differentiated instruction is the backbone of good teaching. Every child can benefit from differentiated instruction. 
  • Can be done in both inclusive regular classrooms, collaboratice classrooms and special education classrooms. 
  • Matches curriculum practices with specific student abilities and interests.
  • Gives educators permission to try techniques outside of the traditional teaching box.
  • Does not expect all children to be doing the same thing all the time.
