For students with significant skill gaps.
Geared to the unique needs of the students.
Provides supplemental instruction in addition to Tier 1 standards-based instruction
Designed to meet the needs of students not progressing in Tier 1
Interventions need to be tried 3-5 times before a referral can really occur
Problem Solving Team (PST)
- Looks at the Tier 1 interventions already attempted
- Parents, counselor, teacher(s)
- suggests actions to take
- meets again to evaluate progress – looks at data
